Massachusetts

One of the most recent states to allow online sports betting. Massachusetts online sports betting began on March 10, 2023. Governor Charlie Baker signed a bill authorizing sports betting in the state on December 20, 2022.

In March of 2023, the Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) granted the first licenses to operate online sportsbooks in the state. Two days later on March 10, online sports betting launched in the state. There are currently 10 operators licensed in the state including WynnBET, Fanduel, Caesars, BetMGM, and many more.

Online sports betting has been successful in Massachusetts due to a large population of sports fans, a well-regulated industry, and a competitive market. The success so far has been a testament to the state’s commitment to providing its residents with a safe and enjoyable betting and gaming experience.

The state is expecting to continue to see growth in the industry after seeing the success over the last few months. The MGC is also currently working to expand the number of operators that are allowed to offer online sports betting in the state.

You must be 21 years or older to bet on sports in the state.
