Colorado

The legalization of online sports betting started in November of 2019 when Colorado voters approved Proposition DD, which legalized the regulation and taxation of both online and in-person sports betting in the state. In 2020, the Colorado Division of Gaming (CDG) began to accept applications for sports betting licenses and on May 1, 2020 the first online sportsbook launched in Colorado.

Since the launch of online sports betting, Colorado’s sports betting market has generated over $1.5 billion in revenue. As of March 2023, there are currently 25 licensed sportsbooks operating in the state, which offer a variety of betting options, including point spread, totals, moneylines, and prop bets. Major sportsbook operators like FanDuel, BetMGM, DraftKings, and PointsBet are available in Colorado, along with many others. With a diverse range of sportsbooks, sports fans are provided with a wide range of options to make the bets.

In Colorado you must be 21 years of age or older to be eligible to participate in sports betting.
